Harrogate Chamber 2025 Wrap Up: Reflecting on a Year of Connection and Growth
There was no better way to conclude the Chamber’s 2025 calendar than with our Festive Business Safari.
Held at the Cedar Court Hotel, the evening was a bustling success, with over 50 members bringing energy and festive cheer to the room. Amidst the fast-paced networking and new introductions, we were treated to exceptional hospitality, with delicious canapés and mince pies fuelling the conversation. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the team at Cedar Court for making our final event of the year so memorable.
A Year of Important Conversations
For the Chamber, 2025 was a year defined by critical engagement, learning, and support. The Chamber has worked hard to ensure our members are not just connected to one another, but also to the key decision-makers shaping our region.
We started the year with the North Yorkshire Council Briefing in January and maintained that strategic focus throughout the year. We facilitated high-level engagement with the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority in October, discussing growth and infrastructure, and hosted additional, high-impact meetings. We worked with Cllr George Jabbour (Chairman of North Yorkshire Council) to facilitate a Business Leaders’ Breakfast at the Great Yorkshire Show with Council leaders - a meeting moderated by the Dean of Ripon. We also benefitted from a highly successful Post-Budget Briefing with Tom Gordon MP.
Supporting Business Growth and Resilience
Beyond connecting with local leaders, 2025 was about equipping our members with the tools to thrive. We tackled practical challenges head-on:
March focused on Marketing & Business Growth.
September addressed the issue of Workforce Training and Retention.
November gave us an economic outlook from the Bank of England.
Community and Wellbeing
Perhaps most importantly, this year the Chamber demonstrated that business is about people. Our June meeting on Men's Mental Health was a standout moment, fostering open and vital conversations. We also celebrated our community spirit during the Summer Social at The Mayfair in August and discussed the future of our town’s tourism in May.
Looking Ahead
2025 has certainly been a year of variety, challenge, and collaboration.
As we head into the festive break, we would like to thank every single member, speaker, and venue host who has contributed to the Chamber’s success this year.
We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year, ready to support, connect, and represent Harrogate businesses in 2026.
