September Meeting to Focus on Workplace Inclusion for September Meeting
Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) will host its next meeting on Monday 14 September at The DoubleTree by Hilton Majestic Hotel, exploring how Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) can benefit local organisations of every size across the Harrogate District.
Timed to mark the start of National Inclusion Week, the evening will cover essential themes for modern employers, ranging from practical workplace accessibility and company culture to legal compliance and everyday team support.
The session will bring together expertise from four local organisations to explore these areas. HR Solutions Yorkshire will open the meeting by introducing National Inclusion Week and setting out why inclusive practices make good business sense.
Disability Action Yorkshire will share guidance on supporting disabled team members through simple, practical adjustments in the workplace. Legal advice will be provided by Raworths, outlining the essential legal framework so local employers understand their responsibilities. Finally, Berwins will share insights on how local firms can build a strong company culture, define core values and embed inclusion into their day-to-day operations.
Phill Holdsworth, President of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, said:
"Workplace inclusion is not just something for large corporations, it matters for every business across our district. Creating a supportive environment where people feel valued helps businesses attract talent, keep good staff and run more effectively. Whether you run a small independent firm or manage a larger team, this meeting will offer practical advice that you can take straight back to your workplace."
The meeting takes place on Monday 14 September from 5.30pm to 8pm at The DoubleTree by Hilton Majestic Hotel, Harrogate. Both members and first-time visitors are welcome to attend. Advance booking is essential, and places can be reserved at www.harrogatechamber.co.uk/events.
