Resurrected Bites Calls On Local Businesses To Support Its First Fundraising Ball
Resurrected Bites, a community organisation that works in Harrogate and Knaresborough to reduce food waste and food poverty by ‘filling bellies not bins’ is looking for local businesses to support its first charity ball.
The ball, which takes place at Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate on Friday 19 September, is the biggest fundraising event in the charity’s history, with all monies raised going towards covering the running costs of its community cafes and community groceries in Harrogate and Knaresborough, where surplus food is given a new lease of life.
Michelle Hayes, founder and CEO of Resurrected Bites who set up Resurrected Bites in 2018 said: “The local business community has always been incredibly supportive of our work, for which we’re very grateful. We’re hoping the ball will be another opportunity for them to get on board and help us in our mission to reduce food waste, loneliness and food poverty, which sadly are all prevalent right here on our doorstep.
“We’re looking for businesses to sponsor the event or buy tickets and bring work colleagues along for what promises to be a fabulous evening which includes a three-course meal, live entertainment by swing singer Jonny Skinner and an amazing DJ set by FML (Funk My Life) which is guaranteed to get everyone on the dancefloor.”
Tickets cost £75.00 per person and are on sale now at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/resurrected-bites-cio
Tables ideally seat 10 guests but can seat a maximum of 12 guests.
