Raffle Prizes Wanted For Aphasia Support At The Harrogate Business Awards
The Harrogate Business Awards take place on Thursday 24 September, and alongside the trophies and the speeches there is a quieter piece of work going on: raising money for the awards' nominated charity for 2026, Aphasia Support.
Aphasia is a communication difficulty, usually caused by a stroke or brain injury, that affects a person's ability to speak, understand, read or write. It does not affect intelligence, but it can make everyday life, and business life, remarkably hard. Aphasia Support helps people rebuild those skills and their confidence, and you will hear more about their work from the stage on the night.
What they need from us
The organisers are putting together a raffle for the evening, and Helen Lambert, National Events Manager for the awards, has asked whether Chamber members, or anyone in our networks, would be willing to donate a prize.
A prize does not need to be grand. A meal for two, a bottle of something decent, a voucher for your services, a hamper, a round of golf, tickets to a show or a weekend of hire: anything that a room full of Harrogate business people might happily buy a few raffle tickets for. If you make or sell something, it is also a rather good way to put your name in front of several hundred local decision-makers.
Every donor will receive a verbal thank you from the event host on the night, so your generosity will not go unnoticed.

Please contact Helen directly at helen.lambert@iconicmediagroup.co.uk with a short description of the prize and your business name. If you would rather go through the Chamber, email us at chiefexec@harrogatechamber.co.uk and we will pass your offer on.
Prizes need to be confirmed as soon as possible so they can be listed for the night, so if you are thinking about it, do not leave it until the week before.
