We are delighted to welcome Cheryl-Anne Salton, founder of Waratah HR Consulting, to the Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce. With more than 20 years of senior HR leadership experience, Cheryl-Anne brings practical, commercially minded people expertise to local businesses, and we look forward to seeing her build connections across our membership. Here she introduces herself in her own words.
I'm Cheryl-Anne Salton, founder of Waratah HR Consulting, and I'm delighted to be joining the Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce.
After more than 20 years working in senior HR leadership roles across a range of sectors, I launched Waratah HR with a simple goal: to help business owners access experienced, practical HR support without the complexity, jargon, or cost of building a large internal HR function.
Throughout my career, I've always enjoyed working closely with leaders and helping them navigate the people side of business. Whether it's supporting growth, managing change, resolving workplace challenges, or simply providing a sounding board when difficult decisions need to be made, I've seen firsthand how important good people management is to business success.
Waratah HR was born from a desire to offer a more personal and commercially focused approach to HR. I work alongside businesses as a trusted partner, helping them build strong teams, manage risk, and create workplaces where both people and organisations can thrive.
Based in Harrogate, I'm passionate about supporting the local business community and building genuine relationships with fellow business owners and professionals. One of the things I love most about running my own consultancy is getting to know the people behind the businesses and understanding what drives them.
Outside of work, you'll often find me exploring Yorkshire, enjoying time with family and friends, or discovering a good coffee shop.
