Harrogate Neighbours Spreads Sweetness and Smiles at Saint Michael's Hospice
Last week, Harrogate Neighbours brought a delightful surprise to Saint Michael's Hospice, celebrating both National Give It Away Day and National Ice Cream Day by treating staff and residents to a much-deserved dose of frozen fun.
Harrogate Neighbours, a local not-for-profit dedicated to supporting the elderly community, loaded up their trusty ice cream bike and pedaled over to the hospice, ready to serve up scoops of happiness. The initiative was a heartfelt gesture to acknowledge the incredible dedication of the Saint Michael's Hospice staff and to bring moments of joy to its residents and patients.
"We believe in the power of small gestures to make a big difference, especially for those who dedicate their lives to caring for others, and for individuals receiving care," said Jamie Nicholson-Ruther, Business Development Manager. "National Give It Away Day and National Ice Cream Day provided the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation and spread some cheer. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces was truly great."
The ice cream bike proved to be a huge hit, offering a welcome break and a refreshing treat for the hard-working hospice team, as well as a delightful experience for residents. The tubs of ice cream were donated by Ripley Ice cream, who were thrilled to help out such a worthwhile cause.
Michael White from Saint Michaels said "It was so great to have the ice cream bike at the Hospice, everyone loved it!"
