Harrogate BID Celebrates Fifth Consecutive Gold at Yorkshire in Bloom
Harrogate BID has won Gold at the 2026 Yorkshire in Bloom awards, with its Floral Summer of Celebration trail also named the category winner in the Yorkshire Rose Town/City Centre/BID category.

The award was presented at this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards in Tadcaster, recognising the Harrogate Floral Summer of Celebration, which was created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Harrogate International Festivals.
The floral trail took place across Harrogate town centre from 3–17 July, with eight eye-catching installations encouraging residents and visitors to explore different parts of the town.
The installations celebrated Harrogate International Festivals’ six decades of bringing arts and culture to the town, while providing free and accessible photo opportunities for residents and visitors.
The trail was delivered by Harrogate BID in partnership with Harrogate International Festivals and Helen James Flowers and was kindly sponsored by Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce.
The eight installations were located across the town centre, including at the War Memorial, Yorkshire Hotel, Nicholls Tyreman, Montpellier Hill, Cross James Street, Victoria Shopping Centre, Harrogate International Festivals’ headquarters and Library Gardens.

“This year’s Floral Summer of Celebration was particularly special as we were able to celebrate 60 years of Harrogate International Festivals through eight floral installations across the town centre. We’re incredibly grateful to Harrogate International Festivals, Helen James Flowers and Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce for their collaboration and support in bringing the trail to life. It’s wonderful to see that collective effort recognised with a Gold award and category win.”
The Gold award marks the fifth consecutive year that Harrogate BID has achieved Gold at the Yorkshire in Bloom awards. The BID also received a Gold award at Britain in Bloom in 2023.
The Floral Summer of Celebration has now become an annual part of Harrogate’s summer programme, with the 2026 trail providing an opportunity to celebrate an important milestone for one of the town’s longest-established cultural organisations.
