‘From All Walks Of Life’ Mixed Media Exhibition Comes To St Peter’s Church
Artwork raising awareness of the Fiona Laskaris national campaign to protect vulnerable people.
A colourful exhibition of mixed media artwork will be on show at St Peter’s Church, Cambridge Road, Harrogate, from Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th November.
‘From All Walks of Life’ is an art project created to draw attention to the national campaign started by Fiona Laskaris. The campaign calls for improvements to the law around mental capacity assessments, and for a Vulnerable Adults Bill.
Fiona is campaigning for families to be able to request a mental capacity assessment for vulnerable loved ones when there are concerns around grooming and exploitation.
The artwork centres on shoes, each pair telling its own story through paint, fabric, paper and mosaic. Together, they symbolise people moving forward through a shared experience. The pieces reflect the message behind Fiona’s campaign: that hate crime and mate crime can affect vulnerable people from all walks of life.
