‘Cutest Puppy’ And ‘Best Trick’ Among The Categories Announced For Harrogate Dog Show 2026
Harrogate BID is delighted to announce the official categories for the Harrogate Dog Show 2026.
Harrogate BID has announced details of the categories for this year’s Dog Show event.
The much-loved event will return to the Victoria Shopping Centre Piazza for its sixth year on Saturday 11 April, bringing together dog lovers, families and visitors for a fun-filled day celebrating our four-legged friends.
The show will feature seven different categories for owners and their dogs to enter throughout the day. Among the classes are ‘Handsomest Dog’ and ‘Fanciest Female’, alongside favourites such as ‘Cutest Puppy’, ‘Best Purebred’ and ‘Best Crossbreed’.
Dogs with a special talent will also have the chance to impress the judges in the ‘Best Trick’ category, while the ever-popular ‘Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home’ will once again give judges the opportunity to reward the dog that wins them over the most.

Registration for the categories will open at 10am on the day, with classes set to begin from 11am. Entries will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of places available per category.
Alongside the show, visitors will also be able to enjoy a dog-themed market on Cambridge Street, hosted by Real Markets, featuring treats, accessories and gifts for dogs and their owners.
The Harrogate Dog Show is delivered by Harrogate BID in association with Your Harrogate Radio and Victoria Shopping Centre, helping to drive footfall into the town centre while supporting local businesses.
