Community Fit Conquers Endure 24, Raising Over £1,200 For Saint Michael's Hospice
They did it. Endure 24 is over, and the Community Fit for Saint Michael’s Hospice team all hobbled into Monday morning with varying levels of pain and discomfort following their adventures at Bramham Park at the weekend.
Everyone in the team really pushed themselves and did more laps than they thought possible. In total, the Saint Michaels team ran 16 laps of the five mile course (80 miles) and raised over £1200 for the Hospice.

Only one of the team had ever run through the night before, and HDCC member Jenni told us that whilst her first night run was awesome, a very dodgy headtorch meant she had to run through the forest virtually blind.
The team were formed from members of local Community Group, Community Fit. The latter fielded two teams and three solo runners in total for the event and between them, ran 66 Laps which equates to 330 miles or the distance from Harrogate to Aberdeen. There has even been some talk of doing it all again next year.
More importantly though, Jenni’s team were running to raise funds for the fabulous Saint Michael's Hospice.
