A "Strictly" Spectacular Night Celebrating Harrogate’s Finest Family Businesses
Harrogate Chamber was delighted to support the 2025 Harrogate Mumbler Awards, an evening that showcased the vibrancy and community spirit of the area. Held at The Crown Hotel on Saturday, 29th November, the event adopted a fabulous "Strictly Come Mumbler" theme, transforming the venue into a fabulous ballroom complete with dancing, sequins, and the obligatory glitterballs.
Chamber Chief Executive Martin Mann and President Phill Holdsworth were in attendance to represent the Chamber. It was a night of fun and inspiration, celebrating the hard-working businesses and individuals who make Harrogate such a fantastic place for families.
We were proud to sponsor the "Mumblers’ Favourite Family Event" category. A huge congratulations goes to the winner, Birchfield Farm Pumpkin Picking, for their outstanding contribution to family fun in the region. We also extend our congratulations to The Great Knaresborough Bed Race, which received a well-deserved Highly Commended accolade.
Phill said
“As President of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, it was a real privilege to sponsor – and personally present – the Mumblers’ Favourite Family Event award. It was a genuine pleasure to announce Birchfield Farm Pumpkin Picking as the winner. Their pumpkin festival has become a highlight of the local calendar – giving families the chance to get outdoors, explore the farm and make memories together in a fun, relaxed setting.”
Beyond the awards, the evening was a triumph for community generosity. Guests embraced the theme with a "build a glitterball trophy" competition and a "guess the dance" quiz. Most importantly, the event raised over £1,900 for Time Together - who also happen to be our President’s Charity of the year.
It was wonderful to see so many local businesses coming together to celebrate success and support such a vital cause. Thank you to everyone who made the night so memorable, and congratulations to Harrogate Mumbler for putting on such a successful evening!
Phill concluded
“I want to stress that every finalist, and indeed every business and organisation recognised on the night, is a winner in my eyes. The awards showcase just how hard our local family-focused businesses work, and how much they matter to everyday life in our district. On behalf of the Chamber, thank you to everyone who was nominated, shortlisted and involved – you are what makes Harrogate such a fantastic place for families.”
