Time Together - What We Do
Time Together, a charity supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities, is proud to be working alongside local businesses as the Harrogate and District Chamber of Commerce President’s Charity of the Year, creating opportunities that benefit both the community and the organisations we partner with.
Following the successful launch of our social enterprise shop last year, the project continues to grow in 2026. Focused on selling and repurposing pre-loved clothing, it provides a practical and engaging way for businesses to demonstrate social value and environmental responsibility. By hosting a workplace clothing donation station, organisations can involve their teams in a shared purpose of reducing textile waste while supporting skills development, confidence-building, and employability for disabled and autistic people locally.
The shop also offers meaningful corporate volunteering opportunities. Teams can get involved in hands-on activities such as sorting donations or creative upcycling sessions, ideal for team building while making a genuine social impact. These experiences support staff wellbeing, strengthen team connections, and provide a tangible link between your business and the local community.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do at Time Together. We create inclusive and accessible opportunities for people to work, volunteer and connect side by side, helping to reduce social isolation and build kinder communities and workplaces. Partnering with Time Together gives businesses a practical, visible way to champion inclusion and demonstrate commitment to social responsibility.
Alongside our community initiatives, we continue to provide high-quality, tailored support for local disabled and autistic people and their families, enabling individuals to build independence, improve wellbeing, and feel part of their community. We also welcome connections from businesses who may have employees, customers or networks who could benefit from our services, helping you confidently signpost to trusted, local support.
As we celebrate over 30 years of providing inclusive support and connection, our focus remains on independence, wellbeing and community. Being the Chamber President’s Charity of the Year has already enabled us to build strong new partnerships, we are grateful for this fantastic opportunity, and we look forward to continuing to work with businesses who want to make a meaningful difference.
