Place Your Bets for a Good Cause: Supporting Older People Hosts Cheltenham Ladies Day

Chamber member Supporting Older People (SOP) is inviting the local business community to dress in their race-day best for a fabulous afternoon of fundraising and entertainment.

On Wednesday 11th March, the charity will be hosting a special Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day at the elegant Hotel du Vin in Harrogate, starting from 12 noon.

This promises to be a wonderful social occasion, perfect for treating clients, colleagues, or friends. Guests will enjoy:

  • A welcome drink on arrival

  • A delicious two-course lunch followed by cake

  • Live screening of the races with the chance to 'have a flutter'

  • A wonderful raffle with great prizes

Tickets are priced at £35 per person.

Support a Vital Local Cause

All proceeds from the event will go directly towards SOP’s volunteer befriending service and group activities. The charity currently supports over 300 older people living alone in Harrogate and Knaresborough, providing essential connection to help alleviate loneliness in our community.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available

SOP is also offering a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get involved by sponsoring a race at the event.

For a sponsorship cost of just £100, your business will receive:

  • A mention in the event programme.

  • Inclusion in all event publicity.

Your sponsorship contribution will provide the prizes for the sweepstake winners for each race, making it a great way to raise your brand profile while supporting a local charity.

Secure Your Place

It would be lovely to see Chamber members there to support this important work. Please feel free to invite friends and colleagues along for the afternoon.
