NYC : Business Events & Funding Around North Yorkshire

From the offices of Harrogate to the rolling hills of the Dales, North Yorkshire is buzzing with entrepreneurial energy. Local firms are forging meaningful partnerships, charities are gaining fresh momentum, and community events are drawing crowds and collaboration.

Ingleton & Grassington Businesses – A Great Opportunity!

I’m delighted to say that we have funding to provide the valuable Peer-to-Peer Programme run by Next Step in each area. We are looking for 6 businesses in Ingleton and 6 businesses in Grassington that would like to take part in this transformative programme.

Each group meets regularly for a combination of bespoke workshops, scrutiny of the participants’ own business practices, drafting of progression plans and focussed brainstorming. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to share their own business experience with others in their unique geographical area. Previous cohorts have had enormously positive feedback and the group participants continue to support each other long after the programme ends. There has also been an incredibly positive growth in collaboration and co-operation between local businesses.

We recognise that time is precious for many small businesses, but all participants have reported back that the time given is a valuable investment. One commented, “I didn’t think I could afford the time away to work on the business. Now I realise I couldn’t afford not to.” The time commitment is:

  • One hour of 1:1 pre-course discussion to assess your needs and areas of expertise.

  • One morning a week for 6 consecutive weeks

  • One meeting of 2 hours after the end of the course. This is 1:1 bespoke support to allow for further networking, signposting to funds or other support and to ensure the next steps for your business are clear and achievable.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, gain insight and access support from fellow businesses who understand the local area and the issues we all face here in North Yorkshire. If you’d like more details, let me know.
