LINE Up Revealed For Agri-Innovation Village At The 2026 Great Yorkshire Show
Smart solutions for powering farms and sustainable agriculture are among the latest exhibits that can now be revealed for the Agri-Innovation Village at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show on Tuesday 14 – Friday 17 July.
Farmers can have their farm soil analysed at the Agri-Innovation Village
Archimedes spiral-style wind turbines, biomethane fuel for farm machinery and a ‘smart’ weather forecasting app are just some of the emerging technologies that will be showcased as part of a major focus on future-proofing farming.
CatchmentAI’s Probcast app serves up the best weather windows for farming tasks, while Bennamann’s modular bio-CNG refuelling station turns biogas made on farms into vehicle fuel for methane-powered tractors.
Hosted by the Farmer Scientist Network at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and sponsored by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority and Greene Tree, the Agri-Innovation Village is powered by a hydrogen unit supplied by TCP Group. It brings the latest research and technology to the Show through displays, demonstrations and a series of talks.
Tickets to the Great Yorkshire Show are on sale now and are available to purchase in advance only, with prices frozen at the same rate as last year. Limited tickets remain for Wednesday 15 July.

An Energy Futures display featuring Toyota's British-built hydrogen fuel cell powered Hilux prototype pick up, being showcased at an agricultural show in the UK for the first time.
The MY Group and Wormganix Ltd, demoing Black Soldier Fly breeds which are farmed as alternative protein sources for aquaculture, pork and poultry feed.
TCP Group’s off-grid, clean power generator, solar PV, battery and inverter, and solar hybrid mobile lighting tower.
University of Leeds Soil Doctor, where farmers can bring a soil sample (the size of a coffee cup, dug from 0–10 cm depth) for expert analysis on the health of the soil on their farm.
Greene Tree Ltd’s hybrid renewable solutions, specialising in an Archimedes Wind Turbine and including solar panel and battery storage hybrid configurations.
Some of the machines on display will be demoed with commentary in the neighbouring Machinery Demonstration Ring.
The Agri-Innovation Village features panel-style chats to share inspiring perspectives on how farming can adapt to challenges. Highlights include Tuesday’s talks about how devolution can help feed the nation, hosted by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) at 10am, and the revealing of the GYS Innovation Awards winners from 2.30pm.
Wednesday’s focus is on future farm fuels in collaboration with the Royal Agricultural Society, Innovation for Agriculture and YNYCA, while topics on Thursday and Friday range from data-driven ideas transforming agriculture to best use of artificial intelligence.

Organised by registered charity the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, the Great Yorkshire Show sells out every year with 140,000 visitors expected over four days and some 8,500 animals exhibited in pursuit of prize rosettes. A limited number of farmer tickets remain available, offering those who work on-farm extra flexibility to attend. These tickets can be used to access any day of the Show and are strictly for purchase by the farming community only. An approved form of ID is required when purchasing and to show upon entry. Farmer ticket prices have also been held at the same rate as last year: Adults £27.50, Children £10 and Families £65. Free shuttle buses are operated by The Harrogate Bus Company every day of the Great Yorkshire Show. The buses run every 10 minutes from Harrogate Bus Station (next to the Railway Station) to the Showground’s White Gate, starting at 7.20am. The last bus departs the Showground at 7pm.
