Help Our Communities Flourish – Become a HADCA Trustee

If you care about community, have strategic insight or lived experience to offer, and want to make a real impact behind the scenes – being a trustee at HADCA (Harrogate & District Community Action) could be the perfect role for you. No prior board experience needed – just commitment, curiosity and a desire to support local good.

Connecting and collaborating underpins HADCA’s work, bringing people together to make our area better for everyone, understanding that everyone has something to contribute. We’re looking for new Trustees to join our board and help strengthen the vital network of charities and community groups.

Ideally, you might have some experience in managing property, fundraising and income generation, media and communications or HR. But if you are interested in becoming a Trustee and helping HADCA to help our communities and don’t have any of those skills or experience, please don’t be put off.

We would also love if you are involved with a local charity or community group, to help ensure that what we are doing reflects the needs of our local community organisations and the people they work with.

‘I’m proud to have been part of HADCA as a trustee and proud of the charity’s work developing and growing local services that mean so much to people. It’s a charity built on passion and dedication to our communities, and that’s why it makes, and will continue to make, an enormous positive difference.’

You can find out more about HADCA and this rewarding role at https://hadca.org.uk/news/become-hadca-trustee

If you’re interested in this opportunity, we would love to hear from you by 26 June.

If you’d like to have a chat with someone before you apply, either our Chair, Helen Bourner, or one of our current Trustees will be happy to tell you a little more about the role of a Trustee at HADCA, what you can expect if you join us, and what we would like from you. Please email us hadca@hadca.org.uk so we can arrange this.
