Harrogate’s Second Annual "Kindness Festival" comes to St Aidan’s this Saturday

This Saturday, 17th January, St Aidan’s Church of England High School will open its doors to the local community for the Harrogate Kindness Festival 2026. Following the overwhelming success of its 2025 launch, the event returns with a new "one-room" format designed to foster even deeper connections, compassion, and community spirit.

Running from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, the festival is a free-to-enter celebration that brings together local residents, wellbeing providers, charities, and "changemakers" under one roof. The event aims to inspire attendees by showcasing the incredible work of local organisations while providing a space for informal chats and positive action.

Event Highlights:

  • One Shared Space: For 2026, the festival has upgraded its layout so all exhibitors and visitors are in one central room, creating a warmer, more vibrant atmosphere.

  • Wellbeing & Support: Meet local groups dedicated to mental health, physical wellbeing, and community care, including representatives from organisations like Dementia Forward, MIND and Artizan International.

  • Volunteering Opportunities: Discover how to give back to the Harrogate community by connecting with charities looking for local support.

  • Networking for Good: An informal setting for local residents to meet like-minded people and "changemakers" who are driving positive initiatives in the town.

  • Inclusivity at its Heart: Entry is free for the public, with food being provided by community heroes, Resurrected Bites.

"The Kindness Festival is all about celebrating the people and organisations that make Harrogate such a special place to live," said the event organisers. "Whether you are looking to volunteer, find a new support group, or simply soak up the positive energy, there is something for everyone."
