Harrogate Homeless Project at the Heart of “No One Forgotten This Christmas”

As the nights draw in and temperatures fall, Chamber member Harrogate Homeless Project continues its vital work supporting people experiencing homelessness across our district. This winter, a new community initiative is putting the charity firmly in the spotlight.

“No One Forgotten This Christmas” has been organised by LS Tattoo & Piercing Collective in Harrogate, with Harrogate Homeless Project as its sole beneficiary. The aim is simple: to bring together businesses and residents from Harrogate, Ripon and surrounding communities so that nobody is left out in the cold.

How businesses can help

Organisers are inviting pledges of practical winter essentials, including:

  • Sleeping bags

  • Warm hats, scarves and gloves

  • Handwarmers

  • In-date tinned food

Donations of suitable stock from outdoor suppliers, clothing retailers and food businesses would be especially welcome. Introductions to potential supporters, staff fundraising and simply sharing the appeal will also make a real difference.

Pledges only, for now

At this stage, organisers are asking only for pledges and offers of help. Harrogate Homeless Project is currently confirming exactly which items it can accept, along with collection and handover arrangements, so no physical drop-offs are being advertised yet. Final practical details will be shared as soon as the charity has confirmed them. The initiative is entirely voluntary and low-cost, making it easy for businesses of any size to get involved.

Get involved

Businesses wishing to offer help can email leedevor39+nooneforgotten@gmail.com.

Those who would prefer to give financially are asked to donate directly to Harrogate Homeless Project at https://www.harrogate-homeless-project.org.uk/donate/.

Harrogate Homeless Project does outstanding work, often quietly and without fanfare, and this appeal is a chance for our business community to stand alongside a fellow member. Whether you can offer stock, time, introductions or a social media share, every contribution helps to ensure that no one is forgotten this Christmas.

Please share this article with your own networks, and look out for further updates from the organisers.
