Harrogate District Businesses Unite for Joint Summer Social at Royal Parade
Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce and Harrogate BID came together on the evening of Monday 11th August for their annual joint Summer Social, bringing together local business leaders and independent owners at Harrogate Brewing Co's Royal Parade venue.
The evening brought together Chamber members and BID levy payers for a true celebration of local commerce. Guests were looked after by venue owner Joe Joyce and his team, who are members of both host organisations, enjoying complimentary drinks and food throughout the night.
The Mayor of Harrogate, Councillor Viv Poskitt, joined attendees for the informal evening, which was designed to help business owners connect naturally and build lasting relationships across the district.
Addressing the room, Jason Maxwell, Chief Executive of Harrogate BID and Phill Holdsworth, President of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, thanked attendees and spoke about the continued strength and collaborative spirit of the local business community.
Following the event, Phill Holdsworth, President of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, said:
"Our annual Summer Social is always a highlight, but seeing such a strong turnout from both Chamber members and BID levy payers made yesterday evening particularly special. The strength of our local economy comes down to the people and relationships behind our organisations. It was fantastic to see so many meaningful conversations happening in such a relaxed setting."
The host organisations encourage everyone who attended to keep conversations going over the coming days and weeks to turn new ideas into practical local collaborations.
The next Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce meeting takes place on Monday 14 September 2026 at 5.30pm. The meeting will focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace. Both members and first-time visitors are welcome to attend, with further details and booking available at www.harrogatechamber.co.uk/events.
