Halloween Half-term Success As Thousands Complete BID Monster Trail

Harrogate BID was delighted to bring Halloween fun across the half-term, in partnership with The Crown Hotel, with thousands of people completing the spooky monster trail that was in place for the week at various locations around the town.

The trail ran from Saturday 25th October to Saturday 1st November, alongside a pop-up immersive Halloween experience and free themed crafts at The Crown Hotel. The event proved to be a success with a very positive response from both visitors and residents.

Harrogate BID’s Street Entertainers, Trick and Treat, were also in town on the Friday and Saturday, helping residents and visitors get into the Halloween spirit. They were clearly admired amongst all ages.

The Halloween Monster Trail, which participants could win a prize once completed, took visitors on a route around 10 different town centre locations in a bid to encourage them to explore and possibly discover more of Harrogate. The trail saw over 10,000 unique participants.

Bethany Allen, Harrogate BID Operations Manager said:

“We are extremely pleased of how popular the Halloween trail was this half-term with residents and visitors, we were taken away by the number of people completeing it. It was great seeing families walking around the town with their trail sheets.”

“Our street entertainers were welcomed back into the town with open arms, it was a delight to see families mesmerised by their tricks.”

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the businesses that got involved in the trail and to our sponsors, The Crown Hotel.”

“At Harrogate BID, we are really looking forward to bringing more free fun to the town.”

Dan Siddle, General Manager of The Crown Hotel said:

“We were thrilled to partner with Harrogate BID to host the Halloween across the October half-term. The event brought a fantastic energy to the town centre, with families enjoying a week of spooky fun and creative activities.”

“The Crown Hotel was proud to be the starting point for the trail, where visitors collected their free trail sheets and returned to redeem their Halloween prizes. Crown Place was transformed into a hub of Halloween excitement, featuring themed crafts, games, and refreshments at The Place.”

“The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, and we saw a significant increase in footfall throughout the week. It was wonderful to see so many families engaging with the trail and enjoying the immersive experience.”
