Farmer Tickets Selling Fast For 2026 Great Yorkshire Show
Farmer tickets are selling fast for this year’s Great Yorkshire Show on Tuesday 14 – Friday 17 July, with a limited number remaining to purchase in advance only.
With just four weeks to go, show organisers the Yorkshire Agricultural Society are keen for as many farmers as possible to benefit from its flexible and discounted any one-day, Farmer Ticket offer, whilst stocks last, with prices frozen at the same rate as last year.
The Show is packed with events, talks and exhibits for farmers to explore new ideas in agriculture, innovative solutions to challenges and to meet up with others. Highlights include the Agri-Innovation Village, a social hosted by the Farmer Scientist Network on Tuesday, the Future Farmers of Yorkshire’s Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday and the Women In Farming Network’s social on Thursday.
Show Director Rachel Coates said: “The Great Yorkshire Show offers something for every farmer, not least a welcome invitation to step off farm and meet up with friends, some of who they only perhaps see once a year at the Show.
“There are also great opportunities to scope out new investments and get advice at trade stands, connect with livestock societies, be inspired with new ideas from industry talks, and so much more. Just don’t wait any longer to pick up a Farmer Ticket, they are as popular as ever and do sell out before the Show.”
Farmer tickets can be used to access any day of the Show and are strictly for purchase by the farming community only, priced £27.50 for adults, £10 children and £65 family. An approved form of ID is required when purchasing and to show upon entry. Farmer tickets can be purchased online from www.greatyorkshireshow.co.uk/farmers or in person, subject to availability, at select farming outlets (see the website for details).
On all four days of the Show, the Agri-Innovation Village will showcase new tech and research shaping the industry. Incorporating the GYS Innovation Awards and daily talks, it hosts the Farmer Scientist Network’s Summer Social on Tuesday at 4pm – open to all for networking with other farmers, Innovation Awards finalists and relevant organisations over complimentary refreshments.
Wellbeing in the countryside is up for discussion at the Countryside Voices Stage, next to the Countryside Area at 10am on Tuesday and 2.30pm on Thursday, as part of a daily programme.
On Wednesday from 8.15am at the Ariat GYS Stage, the Future Farmers of Yorkshire’s Breakfast Meeting looks at ‘Facts or Fads: What Food Trends Mean for Farmers’. After breakfast sandwiches, the event explores if consumer-driven trends are leading to real changes in agriculture. Panellists include Rufus Pilgrim, MD of RS Cockerill, the farming and fresh potato prepacking business, and tenant farmer Eden Hill who sells meat direct to the public.
The Women In Farming Summer Social at the Agri-Innovation Village on Thursday from 3pm, sponsored by Geo, is a celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, over strawberries and cream and a glass of fizz. One of the speakers is Jenny Hutchinson, talking about her journey from growing up on her family farm in Zimbabwe to running the award-winning Hutchinson Hobbs farm shop and butchers in Yarm with her husband.
To register places at any of these events, which are free to attend subject to a valid show day ticket, see www.greatyorkshireshow.co.uk/farmers
The Great Yorkshire Show sells out every year with 140,000 visitors expected over four days and with some 8,500 animals exhibited in pursuit of prize rosettes.
Free shuttle buses are operated by The Harrogate Bus Company every day of the Show, running every 10 minutes from Harrogate Bus Station (next to the Railway Station) to the Showground’s White Gate, starting at 7.20am. The last bus leaves the Showground at 7pm.
