Fantastic Floral Displays Set To Return For Harrogate Celebration In Just One Week
The award winning Floral Summer of Celebration returns to Harrogate in just a weeks time, with dazzling displays set to take over the town centre for a number of weeks.
The popular floral trail will return to Harrogate from Friday, July 18th – with a series of excellent exhibits celebrating the ‘jewel in Yorkshire’s crown’ set to be in place for a minimum of three weeks.
Fabulous summery floral arches and designs, peaceful picnic benches and classy, cheerful creations will all feature in the celebration trail – with one display designed to celebrate Harrogate Theatre’s 125th anniversary!
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said:
“With just one week to go until our popular floral celebration returns, we can’t wait to bring it back for our town!
“We’ve got a variety of delightful displays set to appear across our town centre over the coming days…
“The Floral Summer of Celebration always receives a great response from local businesses, residents and visitors – and we’re hoping for the same this time around.”
Some of the locations that the floral installations can be found include The Yorkshire Hotel, The Cenotaph, Cross James Street, Beulah Street, Harrogate Theatre, Montpellier Hill, West Park Church, Library Gardens and outside the Nicholls Tyreman site on Albert Street.
The full launch of the Harrogate Floral Summer of Celebration will take place on July 18th, when all of the displays have been created, put in place and ready for show.
The Business Improvement District (BID) team organise the celebration every year to add to the North Yorkshire town’s already renowned floral heritage. Harrogate is known as a floral destination and events, campaigns and initiatives such as this aim to enhance and develop this reputation further.
The event is held is in addition to the BID’s work to maintain Harrogate’s floral offering, which includes planters in doorways, over 200 barrier baskets and more.
Harrogate BID is a not-for-profit organisation, funded for by businesses in a dedicated area, with an aim to improve the area in which those businesses trade within.
The BID was launched in 2019 and received a successful ballot which saw its second term begin in January 2024 for a further five years.
