BID Delivers New Street Dressing And Artwork Campaigns To Take Pride In Harrogate Town Centre
Harrogate BID is pleased to deliver a series of new street dressing and artwork to help to take pride in the town centre.
The Business Improvement District (BID) team have recently fully funded the delivery of multiple new campaigns to promote the North Yorkshire town as a must-visit destination and to enhance the well-known Harrogate welcome.
The new street art features a bright colourful design created by local artist Tom Tommings to represent different elements that Harrogate is renowned for, including wellbeing, floral, spa waters and more. The artwork has been installed along Cheltenham Road near to the town’s popular Jubilee Car Park – with hundreds of people using this space every week.
Meanwhile, a changeover in flag bunting in key locations around the town centre also took place recently – helping to celebrate ‘God’s County’ on Yorkshire Day. The flags can be seen along busy shopping streets including Cambridge Street and Oxford Street.
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said: “Through these eye-catching public realm projects, we’re continuing our work to create the best first impression possible for visitors to Harrogate.
“We deliver these additional projects to not only add to our town’s heritage, but to strengthen the environment for businesses, residents and visitors alike.
“Harrogate is always adorned with bright, vibrant colours for the summer months and we’re proud to add to this through our latest campaigns.”
Harrogate BID continues to work hard to create a clean, safe and attractive town centre for all. The organisation believes that first impressions really do count and the team are passionate about developing new ideas, schemes and initiatives to support this.
Both the Floral Summer of Celebration and Lego Trail, delivered by the BID and featuring a series of fantastic displays and models, are fully underway around the town centre and both events have already received highly positive feedback from both local people and visitors.
