Antiques Roadshow Jewellery Expert To Headline Tiaras & Tea Fundraiser For Henshaws Secret Garden
On Thursday 8 October 2026, from 2.30pm to 5pm, Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough will host Tiaras & Tea, a fundraising afternoon with BBC Antiques Roadshow jewellery specialist Susan Rumfitt.
Susan will give a talk, followed by a champagne afternoon tea. All money raised goes to the Henshaws Secret Garden Appeal.
Susan has worked in the jewellery industry for more than 30 years. She has also been a jewellery specialist on the Antiques Roadshow for 20 years. She started her career at Christie's Auctioneers in Glasgow and later moved to Phillips Auctioneers in London, where she headed one of its jewellery departments. In 2006 she opened her own gallery in Harrogate, and she now gives regular talks on the history of jewellery and gemstones. Susan is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and an accredited lecturer for The Arts Society.
The appeal meets a pressing need. Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre is running out of space and can't take on any new Artmakers. The money raised will pay for two new purpose-built craft workshops in the Centre's woodland area. They will let Henshaws offer up to 200 more Artmaker sessions every week.
