I have a BSc (Hons) degree in acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture and I am a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council. I am also licensed to practice as an acupuncturist by Harrogate Borough Council and York City Council, so you can be sure you are in safe hands.
Acupuncture is a form of ancient Chinese medicine using fine needles that are inserted into the body. Widely used in China as a primary form of healthcare, it is now becoming more commonplace in western medicine. as healthcare professionals such as GP’s, nurses and physiotherapists see the value of acupuncture and take short courses, so they can integrate simple elements of acupuncture into their own practice.
Acupuncture is often thought of as a treatment for musculoskeletal issues and pain. and it can be really good for that. But it can also bring the functioning of the body into balance by regulating the hormonal and nervous systems. These systems govern your body’s daily processes, and imbalance causes many common health issues, such as stress, headaches, insomnia, digestive problems, and fatigue.
Treatment is usually painless, although you may be aware of sensations. I'm always happy to talk about acupuncture so please contact me if you have any questions. There's also lots of information about what acupuncture could do for you on my website.
You’ll find my clinic above Baltzersen's on Oxford Street in Harrogate.
