The centre is attached to Fewston Church (HG3 1SU), a Grade II* listed building which features a permanent exhibition about the heritage of the Washburn Valley. A very popular Tea Room is run by volunteers with opening times depending on the season.

April to October     Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4.30pm

November to March  Sundays only 11am to 4.00pm

Our aim is to promote respect for Heritage and the Environment and encourage community responsibility and life long learning.

We have now amassed an Archive of over 6,000 items regarding the Washburn Valley.

As well as offering three temporary exhibitions a year we also run some 40 - 50 events including Walks, Talks, Visits, Music and Suppers.

Membership is only £10 a year that includes 20% discount off event costs as well as free attendance at member only events.

So if you are interested in Heritage, Walking and Home Made Cakes - come and visit.
