Additional financial help to support small businesses: open for applications
Applications are now open for eligible businesses to apply for coronavirus grant funding.
The Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund is open to some bed and breakfasts (B&Bs), charities, businesses in shared offices and market traders.
These government funds are for small businesses with ongoing fixed property costs, such as a mortgage or rent, who have been unable to access other Covid-19 grant funding.
Businesses who believe they are eligible should visit the government's website for the full criteria before applying via the council's website.
Applications are being accepted in two phases. Phase 1 is for B&Bs and small charities and is open now, with a deadline of 21 June.
Businesses in shared or flexible offices/workspace, industrial & business parks and regular market traders are invited to apply in Phase 2. This opens on 15 June and the closing date for applications is 28 June.
This additional funding follows the £46million awarded to eligible businesses in the Harrogate district, through the national Small Business and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants.
