Post Pandemic Visions

14 May 2020 by Nic Haughton

Dear Harrogate District resident

We at Zero Carbon Harrogate hope you, your family and your community are managing in this difficult and for many, frightening and stressful time.

I am writing to let you know about Zero Carbon Harrogate, an organisation dedicated to making the Harrogate district a Zero Carbon community by 2030 to secure our long term and sustainable future.

The past weeks have given us all time to think about the kind of future we would all like see for our district as lockdown eases. We hope that it will be a future which builds on and embeds the enormous community sprit and care which has blossomed over the lockdown period in so many truly inspiring ways. We also hope it is a future which uses the opportunities, for individuals, businesses and councils to make plans for building back towards healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives and lifestyles.

During the past weeks a we have been planning a series of 4 Online discussions entitled “Post Pandemic Visions” in partnership with the the local United Nations Association. They will run from 6.00 - 7.30 on Wednesdays, 20th and 27th May, and 3rd and 10th of June. Each will include panels of experts, our local MP and Local Councilors and will provide opportunity for local residents to ask questions and contribute ideas. Details of these, registration and much more about Zero Carbon Harrogate can’t be found on

https://www.zerocarbonharrogate.org.uk/events

We very much hope you will be able to join us in what we expect will be a stimulating and helpful series.

In the mean time, take care

Best wishes
