Unit heads Martin Whincup (Marketing), Danielle Day (Family) and Andrew Mawdsley (Dispute Resolution) have all been promoted.
The move brings added resilience to the firm’s leadership team, with the trio’s expertise set to support Berwins to sustain growth and embark on further development initiatives.
Commenting on the appointments, Managing Director Sarah Smith said “We’re excited to see these three highly talented individuals move on to the next stages of their careers with us.”
“During their time with the firm, each of our newly appointed Associate Directors has committed themselves to their roles, using their talents to further the business goals of their respective teams. Promotion will see the wider firm benefit further from their dedicated approach.”
Andrew, who also serves as a Deputy District Judge has headed Berwins’ Dispute Resolution team since joining the firm in 2017. He routinely acts on complex litigation cases including those in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Recently shortlisted as a rising star at the 2020 Modern Law awards, Danielle has rapidly earned a reputation as an exemplary family lawyer. Recognised in industry guides Chambers and Partners and Legal500, she is one of the youngest department heads in the region.
Martin, who has a background in professional services marketing, has headed the firm’s marketing function for almost four years. During that time, he has overseen the firm’s recent rebrand, launch of a standalone digital law unit and run campaigns which have garnered industry recognition.
