Going Low Carbon in 2020

The environment and climate change have rarely been far from the headlines in recent years and that only looks set to increase in 2020. If your new year's resolution is to reduce your carbon footprint or increase your business's green credentials, our January meeting is a great place to start.

Zero Carbon Harrogate will host the meeting and introduce the following speakers:

  • Intelligent Zero-Carbon Solutions?: Clive Wilson from Energy Oasis covers the options available for businesses.
  • The Carbon Literacy Project: Jamie Saye from Opera North explains how to upskill your staff and embed carbon savings into your organisation.
  • The Harrogate Climate Coalition: Cllr Phil Ireland introduces the newly established Coalition and its objectives
  • Electric vehicles: Rosie McGilvay of Ethos Asset Management outlines the upcoming electric vehicle trial day at Rudding Park.

There will also be a short presentation from Matthew Roberts (Economic Development Officer, Place Shaping & Economic Growth - Harrogate Borough Council) and FibreNation who will outline their plans for Harrogate.

Each speaker will have time to answer questions from the floor during the meeting.
