Vitto, 36, has just joined Transdev Blazefield, which runs hundreds of buses from six depots across the North of England, from Preston and Bolton in the North West to Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington on the Yorkshire Coast, as its new Head of Delivery.
A highly experienced and successful bus operations manager in the East Midlands, Vitto’s role will be to ensure all of the group’s bus operations provide customer friendly, high quality services – with a focus on improved timekeeping and reliability.
Vitto says: “I wanted to join an ambitious company that’s customer and people led, where I could really make a positive difference. Very few companies offer the great opportunity which this new role offers, and I can’t wait to get started!”
Transdev Blazefield CEO Alex Hornby says: “I’m delighted to welcome Vitto to our team. He has excellent experience at all levels of bus operation, and he’s the ideal person to make sure we continue to make our services the Pride of the North.
“It’s vitally important that we meet the customer’s number one of demand of buses being on time and delivered to the quality we aim to provide. We also need our operations and engineering teams to be united in their approach with a shared commitment to doing their very best for our customers - and Vitto has the passion and dedication to make sure we stay 100 per cent focused on achieving all of this, day in and day out.”
Vitto Pizzuti joined the bus industry as a driver for independent bus operator Trent Barton in 2004, rising rapidly to become driver mentor and lead driver.
He was then promoted to the role of General Manager at the company’s Sutton depot, and two years ago took over as Operations Manager at Nottingham, Trent Barton’s biggest depot.
Vitto lists his interests as watching football – he’s a Nottingham Forest fan – playing snooker, and getting out and about, by bus of course!
