Berwins Salon North returns to the Crown Hotel in Harrogate on Thursday 26 April. This cabaret style evening explores the most stimulating ideas in art, science and psychology, designed to change life for the better. Join three expert speakers, Jeremy Heimans, Aaron Gillies and Helen Bagnall each giving a TED style talk on the theme of Present interspersed with intervals to spark conversation or a visit to the bar.

What is the most critical skill of the 21st century? CNN picked Jeremy Heimans concept of ‘New Power’ as one of ten ideas to change the world. The co-founder and CEO of Purpose will show how power now works in our hyperconnected world, and how to make it work for you.

How do you survive the end of the world? Good mental health is being present in the moment, but with anxiety it feels like the world is ending every time you wake up. With warmth and humour, author and comedy writer Aaron Gillies will present the tools to fight back.

What is Berwins Salon North all about? From Mongolian throat singing to genetics, quantum theory and philosophy the six years of Berwins Salon North have presented the bold, the brilliant and the bodacious to the Harrogate audience.  Enjoy a fast-paced review of the brilliant authors, academics and experts who have taken to our stage and remain as relevant now.
