Brexit and the General Election: The Impact on the Local Economy

27 Jul 2017 by Ellie Roach

What impact will the Brexit referendum and the last General Election have on the local economy? In these uncertain economic and political times, how will your business be affected?

Economics expert Jonathan Perraton, a senior lecturer in Economics at Sheffield University, will be joining DSC Chartered Accountants and NatWest Bank for a free breakfast briefing which will examine the effect of the recent political changes on our local economy.

He’ll be offering local business people an informed and useful insight into issues which are of great importance within our district.

The seminar will cover:

  • Brexit - options and impact
  • After austerity - what?
  • How sustainable is the recovery?

Jonathan has written academic books and articles on national economic policy, the European Union and globalisation, as well as contributing articles on economic policy to various newspapers and The Conversation website. He is also a radio and television commentator on economic affairs.

This FREE breakfast briefing takes place on Friday 22nd September, from 8am to 10am, at the West Park Hotel in Harrogate. Breakfast and refreshments will be available beforehand.
