Glorious mud: team spirit fuels charity achievemen

uelled by top teamwork and determination, the participants crossed the finishing line together after undertaking the 10km ‘mudstacle’ challenge at Ripley Castle, North Yorkshire.

The Rainbow Fund provides vital equipment for the children’s department at Harrogate District Hospital as well as supporting the needs of children in the local community and Martin House Hospice.

Synergy Automotive - one of the UK’s leading vehicle leasing and finance credit brokers, which is marking unprecedented growth - is the fund’s corporate partner and has pledged to raise a minimum of £5,000 for its critical work by July 2017.

Paul Parkinson, MD of Synergy Automotive, commented: “We had been warned that the10k was not for the faint-hearted – and we realised how true this was when we were wading through freezing water. That’s where our fantastic team spirit came to the fore as everyone encouraged their colleagues over the obstacles. It was a great sense of achievement when we crossed the finishing line together.”

The Rainbow Fund founder and fundraising volunteer, Alexandra Vere, said: “The Synergy Automotive team has got behind our cause with a real passion and sense of purpose and this achievement underlines their commitment to go the distance for our cause. Every penny raised goes directly to equipment that will significantly improve the way a baby or child is cared for and the £3000 raised makes a real difference.”
